Insulin For Life is a global network of affiliate organisations, which together are able to respond rapidly to provide emergency supplies to people with diabetes who are affected by man-made events or natural disasters. In response to these events/disasters we link with local organisations and clinics to assess requirements and can then activate supply chains to quickly deliver diabetes supplies those who need it most.
For example, we have successfully delivered lifesaving supplies to people with diabetes in:-
Ukraine (2022 and ongoing)
Pakistan (2005) in response to the floods and
Venezuela (2026 ongoing) in response to the earthquakes.
In addition and together with the Western Pacific Region of the International Diabetes Federation, we have developed a disaster preparedness response manual which provides advice on disaster preparedness and recovery to Governments, Local Organisations and importantly to people with diabetes.
